Air Ayodhya, a regional airline being established by Megamax Aviation Private Limited, has received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India, to operate under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS-UDAN).
The NOC marks the airline’s first key regulatory milestone. Air Ayodhya will now begin the certification process with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to obtain its Air Operator Certificate (AOC), after which it will commence commercial operations.

Air Ayodhya will focus on Uttar Pradesh, connecting tier-2 and tier-3 towns, pilgrimage centres and tourism destinations with each other and with major hubs. The airline will begin operations with brand-new Cessna Grand Caravan EX aircraft, with the first aircraft scheduled for delivery in December 2026. As routes mature and demand grows, it plans to introduce 19-seater aircraft, followed by larger turboprops on high-demand routes.
“Receiving the NOC is an important step in our journey to make air travel a practical choice for people in Uttar Pradesh’s smaller towns. Many of these places have airports or airstrips but no scheduled flights. Air Ayodhya is built to change that, in the true spirit of UDAN. We are grateful to the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Government of Uttar Pradesh for their support, and we look forward to working closely with DGCA as we prepare for operations,” said Rajesh Kumar Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, Megamax Group.
The airline’s long-term aim is to build a strong regional network with a fleet of 50 aircraft by 2036.
Megamax Aviation Private Limited, which operates under the Megamax Group, offers religious tourism services for the Char Dham Yatra along with private and medical charter services through its Aayo brand. Air Ayodhya represents the group’s entry into the scheduled regional aviation market. The Megamax Group also operates businesses in IT services and solar energy.
