The programme, branded Cloud Chasers, combines onboard entertainment, activity kits, personalised travel memorabilia and family-oriented airport services designed for children and parents travelling on domestic and international routes.
According to Air India, the launch comes as family travel demand continues to rise, with the segment growing by 13% between 2024 and 2025.
Air India said the Cloud Chasers initiative has been designed as a dedicated platform for all child-centric products and services offered by the airline.
The programme introduces a redesigned and younger version of the airline’s iconic Maharaja mascot, positioned as an adventurous companion for young passengers throughout their travel journey.

The airline said the initiative is intended to create a more immersive and engaging onboard experience for younger travellers.
As part of the rollout, Air India will provide specially designed activity kits to children aged between three and nine years travelling on marquee long-haul and ultra-long-haul flights lasting more than eight hours.

The activity packs carry Cloud Chasers branding and feature the Maharaja in its redesigned child-friendly avatar.
The airline has also expanded its digital entertainment portfolio for children through its Vista inflight entertainment platform.
Air India said the Kids Zone section now offers more than 130 hours of content, while the Vista Stream platform provides an additional 35 hours of child-focused entertainment accessible through passengers’ personal devices.

The airline said the entertainment mix includes animated programming, educational content and audio storytelling designed for children aged between three and 13 years.

Air India added that the inclusion of audio stories through Vobble aims to reduce screen time while maintaining engagement during flights.
The airline has also updated its First Flight Certificate programme for children taking their first journey by air.
According to Air India, the redesigned certificates will be signed by cockpit crew and cabin crew members and can be requested by parents during travel.
The certificates feature new visual designs tied to the Cloud Chasers branding initiative.
Beyond entertainment and engagement, the programme also incorporates additional support services for families travelling with children.

In a company statement, Dogra said the programme marks the first phase of a broader long-term vision for improving the family travel experience across Air India’s network.
The rollout also aligns with the airline’s wider transformation strategy under the Tata Group, which includes investments in cabin upgrades, digital systems, onboard products and passenger experience initiatives.
With the summer holiday travel period approaching, the airline is expected to continue expanding family-oriented services as competition intensifies across India’s rapidly growing aviation sector.
