Airbus, Air France-KLM launch A350 support joint venture

Airbus has established Alpha Component Solutions, a 50-50 joint venture with Air France dedicated to A350 component support. The new entity will be jointly operated by Airbus and Air France-KLM and will manage a global shared-access pool, providing component assets, maintenance services, supply chain management and repairs to A350 customers worldwide.

The joint venture combines Airbus’ Flight Hours Services (FHS) with Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) to meet the growing long-term component maintenance needs of the global A350 fleet. It already has contractual support agreements covering more than 500 aircraft and a global network to serve both new and existing operators.

Alpha Component Solutions aims to improve component pooling and maintenance integration for the Airbus A350 fleet. The joint venture combines operational expertise with advanced supply chain capabilities to improve component reliability, streamline maintenance throughout the aircraft lifecycle and provide tailored support to operators. Through the partnership, Airbus and Air France Industries-KLM Engineering & Maintenance aim to strengthen operational reliability and ensure consistent, fleet-ready support for A350 operators worldwide.
