Akasa Air will begin operations from Noida International Airport (NIA) on June 16, becoming one of the first carriers to launch commercial services from India’s newest greenfield airport project as aviation activity shifts towards the fast-growing National Capital Region.
The airline announced that it will operate daily non-stop flights connecting Noida International Airport with Bengaluru and Navi Mumbai, one day after commercial operations are scheduled to begin at the airport on June 15.
The launch marks another operational milestone for the upcoming airport in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, which has been positioned as a major aviation gateway intended to support rising passenger demand in the Delhi NCR region alongside Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport.
According to a statement issued by Akasa Air, the airline’s first phase of operations from Noida International Airport will focus on linking NCR with two of India’s largest commercial and financial hubs.
The airline said:
"Effective 16 June 2026, Akasa Air will commence daily direct flights connecting Noida International Airport with Bengaluru and Navi Mumbai, strengthening access to the National Capital Region while linking it with two of India’s most dynamic economic centres.”
The move comes as airlines race to establish an early presence at the airport ahead of anticipated long-term traffic growth.
At present, Akasa Air operates 188 weekly flights from the NCR region, and the new airport is expected to further strengthen its network strategy in northern India.
The airline confirmed that all services from Noida International Airport will operate daily and non-stop.

The airline said ticket bookings for both routes are already open through its website, mobile applications and online travel platforms.
Noida International Airport is scheduled to begin commercial operations on June 15 after multiple construction and regulatory milestones were completed in recent months.
In March, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) granted an aerodrome licence to Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL) under the public use category for all-weather operations.
The airport is expected to gradually scale up domestic and international connectivity as more airlines begin operations from the facility.
IndiGo has already announced its plans to launch services from the airport beginning June 15, making it the first airline scheduled to operate from the new hub.
Industry analysts say the entry of multiple carriers within the launch phase reflects growing confidence in the long-term passenger and infrastructure potential of the airport.
Alongside passenger operations, Akasa Air also confirmed plans to establish a maintenance, repair and overhaul facility within the airport premises.
The airline stated that the facility will support a wide range of aircraft maintenance activities and operational support functions.
