IndiGo to add more Bengaluru flights from Puducherry from July 1

IndiGo will introduce additional flight services between Puducherry and Bengaluru from July 1, strengthening connectivity on one of the region's key domestic air corridors.

According to information released by the Airports Authority of India (AAI)-operated Puducherry Airport and reported by News On AIR, the revised schedule will add more travel options for passengers while enhancing access between the Union Territory and Karnataka's capital.

The expansion comes as regional airports continue to focus on improving connectivity and supporting economic activity through increased flight operations.

Revised schedule adds multiple travel options

Under the revised timetable, IndiGo will operate additional services linking Bengaluru and Puducherry at different times of the day.

According to the airport authorities, the new schedule will include:

• Morning departure from Bengaluru at 10:10 a.m., arriving in Puducherry at 11:15 a.m.

• Return service departing Puducherry at 11:35 a.m. and arriving in Bengaluru at 12:15 p.m.

• Afternoon flight departing Puducherry at 2:00 p.m. and reaching Bengaluru at 3:15 p.m.

• Evening inbound service departing Bengaluru at 4:00 p.m. and arriving in Puducherry at 5:10 p.m.

The revised timings are expected to offer travellers greater flexibility for both business and leisure journeys.

Airport seeks to strengthen regional connectivity

The additional services form part of broader efforts to improve air connectivity from Puducherry and enhance accessibility for passengers travelling to and from southern India.

According to K. Rajasekhar Reddy, Director of Puducherry Airport, the expanded schedule will provide more convenient travel options while supporting regional development objectives.

The airport believes increased flight frequency can improve mobility for residents, business travellers and tourists, reducing travel constraints and strengthening links with Bengaluru, one of India's major economic and technology centres.
