Singapore Airlines (SIA) and its low-cost subsidiary Scoot have extended the suspension of flights between Singapore and the Middle East until December.
Both airlines have issued advisories regarding the suspension of their Middle East services. Singapore Airlines said that due to the geopolitical situation in the region, flights SQ494 and SQ495 between Singapore and Dubai will remain cancelled until December 1, 2026.
The airline said that as the situation remains fluid, other SIA flights could also be affected. Customers are advised to check SIA’s Flight Status page for the latest information on their flights.
Scoot has also cited the geopolitical situation in the Middle East, saying its flights between Singapore and Jeddah will remain cancelled until December 2, 2026. The affected services are TR796 from Singapore to Jeddah and TR797 from Jeddah to Singapore.

Notably, Singapore Airlines had operated daily flights between Singapore and Dubai, while Scoot had operated three weekly flights between Singapore and Jeddah.
Customers affected by the flight cancellations can request a full refund for the unused portion of their tickets, both airlines said.
Passengers who booked their tickets through travel agents or partner airlines are advised to contact them directly.
The extension comes amid continued military conflict and regional tensions involving Israel, Iran and the United States. Singapore Airlines and Scoot had suspended services to Dubai and Jeddah amid the evolving security situation and disruptions to airspace in the Middle East.
At present, Emirates continues to operate its regular nonstop flights between Dubai and Singapore, while Saudia operates three weekly nonstop flights between Jeddah and Singapore.
Cathay Pacific has also recently announced that its flights to Dubai and Riyadh will remain suspended until January 31, 2027, amid the ongoing regional security situation. Several other European and Asian carriers have also either cancelled or suspended flights to destinations across the Middle East.
