SITA (Société Internationale de Télécommunications Aéronautiques), a multinational IT and telecommunications company providing end-to-end technology solutions to the global air transport industry, has agreed to acquire Collins Aerospace Airport Solutions. The latter provides passenger processing, baggage and airport operations technology capabilities, strengthening SITA’s ability to deliver more seamless and resilient operations across the air transport industry.
Collins Aerospace Airport Solutions provides technology and operational expertise to manage passenger and baggage processing throughout the terminal, from check-in and self-service touchpoints to bag drop and the critical systems that support airport operations.

The acquisition is expected to close in the first half of 2027, subject to customary closing conditions, including the receipt of required regulatory approvals.
“Air transport is growing and so are expectations. Our industry increasingly needs technology, innovation and people working together to connect each part of the journey, so disruptions are prevented, or fixed fast when they happen,” said David Lavorel, Chief Executive Officer, SITA. “This acquisition extends SITA's offerings and capabilities, reinforcing our commitment and role as the trusted technology partner our customers rely on.”
The combination of SITA and Collins Aerospace Airport Solutions is expected to strengthen support for customers and improve passenger processing, baggage handling and wider airport operations.
“Ask an airport what it wants from a technology provider, and the answer is a trusted partner,” said Nathalie Altwegg, Senior Vice President, Airports, SITA. “That means understanding its environment, working closely with its teams, and being there when support is needed. This acquisition will strengthen our ability to do that for more customers across the industry.”
SITA acquired Big Blue Analytics in June 2026. The company developed OCC Assistant Manager (OCCam), an AI-enabled disruption optimisation platform that helps airlines respond to operational disruptions.
The company said that the acquisition was part of SITA’s broader plan to develop an Intelligent Operations Control Center integrating planning, monitoring and recovery functions.
