Under the initial phase, WestJet will place its code on Qatar Airways’ nonstop flights between Toronto (YYZ) and Doha (DOH), and Montreal (YUL) and Doha. Qatar Airways will also place its code on select WestJet-operated flights from Toronto and Montreal.

Qatar Airways said passengers will be able to connect through Toronto (YYZ) and Montreal (YUL) to nine additional Canadian destinations, including Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Ottawa, Regina, Saskatoon, St. John’s and Winnipeg.

The partnership also complements Qatar Airways’ expansion in Canada. From 25 October 2026, the airline has increased its weekly flights to Canada from 12 to 14, with daily services to both Toronto and Montreal.

In a later phase, WestJet plans to add its code to select destinations beyond Doha, giving its passengers access to more destinations across Qatar Airways’ global network.

Qatar Airways said the addition of WestJet to its growing portfolio of partners reflects its continued focus on building collaborations that enhance the travel experience for passengers worldwide.

“Building on a trusted relationship that has spanned more than a decade, we’re pleased to offer guests greater choice, convenience and access through a single booking and check-in experience,” said John Weatherill, Executive Vice-President and Chief Commercial Officer, WestJet Group. “We are proud to strengthen our ties with Qatar Airways, recognised by SkyTrax as a 5-Star Airline and the Best Airline in the Middle East to enhance our guests’ travel experience, and continue to provide access to more global destinations through our growing portfolio of airline partners.”

Through Qatar Airways’ services to Toronto and Montreal, WestJet passengers will gain codeshare access to Doha for the first time. Travellers on codeshare itineraries will benefit from coordinated connections, the ability to earn WestJet Rewards throughout their journey, through-checked baggage and a single ticket for the entire trip.
