Oman Air and Finnair, both members of the oneworld Alliance, have announced a new codeshare partnership to expand travel options between Finland, Oman and Australia. The agreement marks Oman Air’s first new codeshare partnership since joining the Alliance in June 2025, further strengthening its global connectivity beyond its own network.
The partnership will allow passengers to connect to Helsinki via London Heathrow, where Oman Air operates 11 weekly flights from its Muscat hub. The agreement also covers Finnair-operated flights from Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich, Milan and Rome to Helsinki.
The codeshare arrangement also extends to Australia, offering connections to Melbourne via Bangkok, where Oman Air operates two daily flights. Members of both airlines’ loyalty programmes will also benefit from oneworld recognition, including tier privileges and service benefits throughout their journey.

“Our entry into the oneworld Alliance was an important milestone in Oman Air's growth journey, and our partnership with Finnair represents an exciting next step in unlocking the full value of alliance membership. Together, we have significantly expanded travel opportunities, giving Oman Air guests access to Helsinki and Finnair's extensive network beyond,” said Rohan Patell, Head of Partnerships and Alliances at Oman Air.
“We warmly welcome Oman Air customers on board our flights and offer them smooth connections to Helsinki and an opportunity to discover the unique beauty of Finland. We look forward to expanding the partnership further,” added Fredrik Wildtgrube, Senior Vice President of Alliances and Airlines Partnerships at Finnair.
The agreement marks the first phase of a wider collaboration between Oman Air and Finnair, with both airlines exploring opportunities to expand the partnership further. It also supports Oman Air’s efforts to introduce Oman to new markets, giving travellers the option to visit Muscat through the airline’s stopover programme or extend their stay to explore the Sultanate’s rich heritage, diverse landscapes and Omani hospitality.
