Corrections Policy
Last Updated: October 2026Avionyz corrects errors promptly and transparently. Here is how to report a mistake and how we handle corrections and updates.
1. Reporting an error
If you believe something we published is wrong, email support@avionyz.com with the subject “Correction request” and include:
- the link to the article;
- what you believe is incorrect;
- the correct information and, where possible, a source or evidence for it.
2. How we review it
An editor reviews every request, checks it against the original sources and, where needed, contacts the people or organisations involved. We aim to respond within two working days, and sooner for errors that could cause harm.
3. How corrections appear
- Factual errors (a wrong name, figure, date, aircraft type or attribution) are fixed in the article, and a correction note is added at the end stating what was changed and when.
- Significant errors that change the meaning of a story are corrected in the same way, with the note explaining the original error.
- Minor errors such as spelling, grammar or formatting that do not change the meaning are fixed without a note.
- Updates: when a story develops after publication, new information is added and marked as an update rather than a correction.
4. Removing articles
We do not remove published articles because they are unwelcome. An article may be taken down only where it is legally required, where it cannot be corrected, or where it puts someone at risk; in those cases we say so where practical.
5. Not satisfied?
If you are unhappy with our response, you can escalate your complaint to our Grievance Officer, whose details are listed in our Terms & Conditions.
